Affordable Lone Worker Protection & GPS Response Service

Aimed at Employers whose Employees are working in the Community or know that their jobs may include an element of danger:
  • Personal Safety - Sole focus is on people & personal safety.
  • Peace of Mind - Peace of mind that your people are in the best possible hands.
  • Simple Discreet Use - Personal safety alarm is designed for simple activation.
  • Minimum Distraction - Focus on core activities with minimum distractions.
  • Protect against Legislation - Legislation exists to ensure employers address their lone worker safety & security.  The Service helps employers discharge their duty of care.  Where employers fail to do so, Health & Safety legislation & the new Corporate Manslaughter Bill (effective 6 April 2008) renders non-compliant organisations open to litigation.
  • 24/7 National Coverage - No-one knows where or when an emergency may arise.
  • Solutions tailored to your needs - We recognise all companies & organisations work in diverse ways & have different requirements.
  • National Response - The 999 Emergency network of services is used.  As a backup to these, or if other needs arise, the Nikaro national response network will provide support.
How the Lone Worker Service Works:

GPS satellites provide an accurate position of the employee to within 10 metres. The alarm will remember its last position, even when entering a building.

Mobile phone technology provides text & voice communications. Activation will send its location to the Emergency Response Centre (ERC) followed by a one-way voice connection allowing the employee to be heard by dedicated lone worker Controllers.

Two-way voice communications allow the ERC Controller to talk to, & reassure, the employee once their personal safety has been assured.

Excellent audio allows the employee to hear the Controller up to 1 metre from Skyguard's personal safety alarm & the Controller to hear voice/ambient noise from up to 2 metres from the alarm.

An amber alert function enables employees to record specific information relevant to their visit, which will be immediately available to Controllers if an alarm is then activated.

Additional functions allow the employee to make position requests & activate a timer, which, if not cancelled within a set period, will automatically activate the alarm.

The battery life of the alarm is sufficient to cover a working day & on standby will cover in excess of 14 hours.
